1. Since today’s vision of the fall of Rome is parallel to the same thing earlier in Revelation 4.8, what does this show us again about the notion that Revelation is a program for the end of the world?

Answer: What this shows us about the notion that Revelation is a program for the end of the world is that rather Revelation is a series of visions on how the power of God and the power of the dragon act.

2. To what is the fall of Babylon [Rome] due?

Answer: The fall of Babylon [Rome] due to its many fornications [idolatries] with kings of the earth.

3. Why does the biblical text declare "the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies"”?

Answer: The biblical text quotes these words to show that Rome’s power is not simply political and military power, but also is dependent on the economic and social order.

4. What does Revelation invite us to remember?

Answer: Revelation invites us to remember that history is in the hands of God, and that every government of empire that serves the beast will eventually fall.
